The thing about growing up is, one of the many things you lose is TIME.
I need to jot down my ideas to write, really. Ideas or heavy thoughts came at unexpected time, and most of the time it was a bit inconvenient. While I'm driving, while daydreaming in class (scribbling and doodling takes up my time too, man!). As you get older, yes, your time will be robbed. Can't prevent it, can't avoid it, can't save it.
It could be by various factors and reasons or coincidence in your life. You just won't have enough time. It is written, no? That time seems to be shorter, and things go a little faster.. as we get closer to the Judgement Day. One second you are discussing life choices on what to have lunch and then hey, it's 2.33am again. I feel that is why it is necessary for us to solat.
It's hard for me to fathom people yang suka sangat force on other muslims that seem to be less pious than them (thou art holier lol) to solat. It is a kewajipan. But I feel it's better for you to peel the layers of understanding the basis of solat. Why do we need to perform solat? Are you doing because you are solely afraid to sinning and not obeying Allah? If that's the only reason you do it, perhaps you should take some time to reflect on it.
Ada orang solat setiap waktu, ada orang solat lubang- lubang, ada orang langsung tak solat.
Once you reach that wakefulness (is that a word?), you surely get that one nikmat. I'm trying to reach that, we all should try to do the same. That one nikmat I'm talking is, when all things fall into place. Everything seems right, even the bad ones. You will always feel the same sense of contentment, all the time. Don't you want that? I want it. I'm working on it. So instead of judging and placing people below you, maybe you should have one simple thought in your head. When people repent all day and ask for His forgiveness. When his slate is wiped clean. What about yours?
Is your slate clean? And straight.
It's hard to keep consistent of something until you make it a habit. It's hard to like something that feels a routine. You have to keep hitting on that wall. Biar pecah, tak ada boundary. Tak ada rasa paksaan. But first, it depends on how you look at it.
Kalau kau letak solat as ubat, solat bila kau rasa susah, bila rasa kau kecewa dengan hidup (selalunya orang buat palat). Tapi bila seronok setinggi langit, solat becomes none.
Why not, try letaklah solat as hadiah. Something precious, that 5-minute time you can steal from your busy life to communicate with Allah. One thing I learned recently, jangan depend pada makhluk bernama manusia. Special la kita ni as manusia yang dipilih dari lahir untuk beragama Islam. We were given a specific time, 5 times a day (or more kalau kira sunat) to express and talk heart to heart to the One who created us all.
I believe that. I believe that Allah gives everyone the same chance. The same amount of time. Simplest thing you can tackle to get your life straight is solat. But I know the simplest seem the hardest.
Never give up, kids. Keep trying because you are always loved, even at times when you feel you're not.
